'I choose you again': Couples reaffirm love at Valentine's Day event

Emotional day as couple make third promise in 62 yearspublished at 13:40 Greenwich Mean Time13:40 GMT
It has been an especially emotional day for one of our couples, Jean and Alan Taylor.
Jean, in tears, described how her husband has had cancer for the past two years and “every day is a bonus”.
In March, the couple will have been married for 62 years and this was the third time the pair had made their promises to each other.
Their first was at the parish church in Leamington Spa in 1963 on Jean’s 19th birthday.
They remembered how they faced a few setbacks when they got married including being left without a vicar - with Jean told to wait with her bridesmaids while the verger went to find him.
It turned out he had got the day wrong - then the reception made the same mistake!
When they made their second promise, they went back to the same church for their golden wedding anniversary but it was winter and they walked from the service to their reception in the snow.
“I didn’t know you wanted another white wedding,” Jean’s uncle had joked.
Now after their third promise to each other, the couple, from Warwick, said it was “lovely”.
“Everyone’s been so nice and friendly,” Jean said.
