Tottenham Hotspur vs Leicester City live score updates highlights lineups from Premier League showdown
Leicester's run of five consecutive Premier League defeats has piled pressure on manager Brendan Rodgers. They face a tough task against Tottenham, who lost at Sporting CP in midweek but remain unbeaten domestically this season.

Tottenham Hotspur can pile more pressure on Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers by continuing their impressive start to the Premier League season in Saturday's evening kickoff.

Spurs suffered a galling late collapse to lose 2-0 at Sporting CP in the Champions League in midweek, but they have taken 14 of the 18 points on offer to them in the top flight this season.

A Champions League defeat in Lisbon is the sort of problem Rodgers would happily accept after seeing a Leicester squad shorn of key men Kasper Schmeichel and Wesley Fofana lose five Premier League games in succession.

They remain winless and with a solitary point to their name at the foot of the table.

The Sporting News is following the match live and providing live score updates and commentary.

Tottenham Hotspur vs. Leicester City live updates, highlights from the Premier League

20 mins from kickoff: Faes inclusion has what could be an important knock-on effect of Wilfred Ndidi being able to line up in his natural position at the base of the Leicester midfield. Ndidi has been filling in at centre-back recently and Leicester are a weaker team without him in the engine room, as some fairly dismal results suggest.

40 mins from kickoff: It's hard to argue against Conte's decision based on form, even if seeing a Tottenham lineup without Son feels jarring. Kulusevski has been superb since his January arrival from Juventus, scoring six goals and supplying 10 assists in 25 Premier League appearances.

1 hour from kickoff: Here are the teams. Conte has indeed decided to drop Son Heung-min to the bench, with Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison starting in attack alongside Harry Kane. Ryan Sessegnon gets a run-out, with Emerson Royal resting among the substitutes.

Rodgers makes three changes to his Leicester side, and they include handing a Premier League debut to defender Wout Faes. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Timothy Castagne also return.

1 hr 20 mins from kickoff: Furrowing your brow at a sub-standard Champions League performance would probably feel like the height of decadence for Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers right now. His team is bottom of the table, with their six games yielding one point, and that came on the season's opening weekend when they let a 2-0 lead slip to draw with Brentford. Last weekend's postponed encounter with Aston Villa might have felt like a bit more of an agreeable assignment for Rodgers, whose King Power Stadium tenure has entered rocky ground.

1 hr 40 mins from kickoff: After an impressive, unbeaten start to the Premier League season, things all went a bit 'Spursy' in midweek for Antonio Conte's men. Tottenham were a touch unfortunate to concede two goals at the death against Sporting CP, but it was a listless display overall in Lisbon and an outing that gave rise to further concerns over Son Heung-min's form. The South Korea star is without a goal in eight matches this season and Dejan Kulusevski is pushing hard for a return to the starting lineup.

2 hours from kickoff: Hello and welcome to The Sporting News' live coverage of the Premier League meeting between unbeaten Tottenham and bottom-of-the-table Leicester.

Tottenham Hotspur vs. Leicester City lineups

Son Heung-min extended his run without a goal to eight matches this season in Lisbon and Conte has taken the South Korean star out of the firing line and restored Dejan Kulusevski to his starting XI.

Clement Lenglet comes back into the back three in place of Ben Davies, while Conte has stated Emerson Royal is "a bit tired", so he starts on the bench. Ryan Sessegnon is the beneficiary of that change, with Ivan Perisic switching to right wingback.

Tottenham lineup (3-4-3): Lloris (GK) — Romero, Dier, Lenglet — Perisic, Bentancur, Hojbjerg, Sessegnon — Kulusevski, Kane, Richarlison.

Tottenham subs: Forster, Romero, Tanganga, Royal, Doherty, Skipp, Bissouma, Bryan, Son.

Jamie Vardy dropped to the bench for Leicester's defeat at Brighton, with the silver lining in that reverse coming as front two Kelechi Iheanacho and Patson Daka both scored. Daka starts this one on his own.

Rodgers has made three changes to his team overall, with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Timothy Castagne returning, while Wout Faes makes his full Premier League debut at centre-back.

Leicester lineup (4-2-3-1): Ward (GK) — Justin, Evans, Faes, Castagne — Ndidi, Tielemans — Dewsbury-Hall, Maddison, Barnes — Daka.

Leicester subs: Iversen, Amartey, Thomas, Soumare, Praet, Albrighton, Perez, Iheanacho, Vardy.
