Pundits agree on Tottenham vs Leicester prediction as Son Heungmin targets return to form
Tottenham Hotspur return to Premier League action this weekend as they host a struggling Leicester City side who are propping up the table

Tottenham Hotspur return to Premier League action this weekend after a one-week break. Antonio Conte's side host Brendan Rodgers' struggling Leicester City as they strive to put midweek's Champions League disappointment behind them.

Football across the country was postponed last weekend as club's paid tribute to Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. The Leicester clash was also in doubt due to policing issues building up to Her Majesty's funeral on Monday (September 19), but the game will go ahead as originally planned.

Spurswere in action in midweek, though, as they travelled to Portugal to play Sporting Lisbon. However, the Primeira Liga outfit ended up as 2-0 victors on the night.

It goes without saying but they'll want to bounce back straight away. With that in mind, Chris Sutton, thinks they'll do exactly that. The former Premier League winner also thinks that it's the perfect game for Son Heung-min to return to form following a tough start to the season.

"Tottenham only suffered their first defeat of the season against Sporting Lisbon on Tuesday but I have to say that I don't think their performances have always been as good as their results in the past few weeks," he told BBC Sport. "Spurs haven't always clicked, which is something for their manager Antonio Conte to think about, but they should still make short work of Leicester even if they don't play well this time too.

"The Foxes have got plenty of firepower themselves but their problem is clearly defensively - they always look like they are going to concede goals. I've kept Spurs striker Son Heung-min in my fantasy team because this looks like a good game for him to get off the mark this season - so it will be my fault if that doesn't happen."

Sutton's prediction: 4-1

Fellow pundit Paul Merson is of a similar opinion as he thinks Spurs will gain all three points: "Tottenham are not playing well at the moment, let's be honest," he told Sportskeeda. "The game against Sporting in the UEFA Champions League was a bad one for them, but in my opinion, it could help them in the long run. At the start of the Premier League season, I felt results were papering over their cracks, which obviously wouldn't be the case anymore after what happened in Europe midweek.

"That said, I still fancy them to bounce back and beat Leicester City this weekend. The Foxes are all over the place and it looks to me like their players aren't working for each other, which is a worrying sign for Brendan Rodgers. They have good players, but it just isn't working for them at the moment.

"Son Heung-min's form has been a cause for concern, but I fancy him to return to his best. Cream always rises to the top, which is why I believe Antonio Conte needs to continue starting him every week."

Merson's prediction: 3-0.
