Jenna Coleman as Ember

Jenna Coleman stars as the lead role in The Jetty as Detective Ember, who delves into a case that soon appears to be far darker than it initially appears.

Jenna is a mainstay on our TVs, and is best known for her roles as Clara in Doctor Who and Queen Victoria in Victoria. She's also had leading roles in dramas including Wilderness, The Cry and The Sandman.

Ruby Stokes as Hannah

Playing Ember's teenage daughter Hannah is Ruby Stokes, who is best known for her roles in Bridgerton as Francesca Bridgerton (before departing at the end of season two). She's also been one of the leads in Netflix series Lockwood and Co, and starred in Paramount Plus series Burning Girls.

Amelia Bullmore as Sylvia

Rounding out the Manning family tree is Ember's mum Sylvia who is played by Amelia Bullmore.

Amelia has been acting since the early 1990s and best known for her roles in Coronation Street, Happy Valley, Scott & Bailey and most recently The Buccaneers on Apple+.

Archie Renaux as Hitch

Hitch is Ember's right hand man and a young detective in training, he's played by Archie Renaux. Archie previously appeared on Netflix's Shadow & Bone, BBC's Gold Digger, and alongside Camila Mendes in Prime Video's Upgraded.

Tom Glynn-Carney as Malachy

Malachy is an adult man who is currently in a relationship with teenage girl Amy, and if you'd already recognised him (the beard is a bit deceiving) then he's played by Tom Glynn-Carney.

You'll most likely best know Tom for his role as Aegon Targaryen in HBO's House of the Dragon. He's also been in Netflix's The King, Dunkirk and SAS Rogue Heroes.

Bo Bragason as Amy

Amy is a school student who is in a relationship with Malachy, and she's played by Bo Bragason.

Bo's first acting role came in 2017 and since then she's appeared in Disney+'s Renegade Nell and the mini series Three Girls.

Elliot Cowan as Russell

Russell is Amy's dad and they have a pretty tense and strained relationship. Russell is portrayed by Elliot Cowan, who has been acting since the early 2000s, in a number of dramas over the years including Da Vinci's Demons, Krypton, The Spanish Princess, and Foundation.

Laura Marcus as Caitlin

Caitlin has a close and complicated relationship with Amy, and she's played by Laura Marcus. Laura has been acting since 2010 and she's perhaps best known for her role in Bad Education, and also starring in episodes of Silent Witness and The Serpent.

Weruche Opia as Riz

Riz is a journalist/true crime podcaster, who gets interested in the 17-year-old cold case and takes on the fight to get answers as she believes no one else will.

Riz is played by Weruche Opia, who has previously appeared in I May Destroy You and also starred alongside Laura Marcus in Bad Education. Weruche has also appeared in an episode of Black Mirror, and the series Genius.

Matthew McNulty as Arj

Matthew McNulty stars as Arj, who was best friends with Ember's husband before his death.

Since 2001 when Matthew began his acting career, he's gone onto star in Emmerdale, Misfits, and Deadwater Fell amongst other projects.

David Ajala as Casey

Casey is Ember's therapist and their relationship progresses as the series moves on. Casey is portrayed by David Ajala, who is best known for his roles in Star Trek: Discovery, Falling Water and Supergirl.

Dominic Coleman as Brad

BBC

Brad is a local man who Ember suspects is involved in the fire and he's portrayed by Dominic Coleman.

Dominic has been on our screens for years, most recently as Cressida Cowper's father in Bridgerton. He's also starred in Wonka, Paddington, and made appearances in a variety of shows since his career began in 1995.
