There are 285 games in the NFL season. The first 284 are in the history books, leaving us with two remaining contenders for the Super Bowl.

Each of the league's 32 games play 17 games across 18 weeks in the regular season. Then 14 teams advance to the postseason, which takes 12 games to determine a Super Bowl matchup. In other words, it's taken at least 17,040 minutes of football to get to this point.

Now, just 60 minutes remain before crowning a champion.

The work begins long before the game. While most of the players have been preparing since their childhood, teams have also invested years into this moment.

It's the culmination of plenty of hard work. All the years, late hours, traveling and more come down to just a few hours on a Sunday in February.

On the surface, it seems insane to invest that much time and effort in a sporting event. In reality, it is.

Who's going to the Super Bowl 2025?

Now the Eagles will ride their lethal combination of running game and defense into the Super Bowl for a battle against the Kansas City Chiefs.

After dispatching the Houston Texans in the divisional round, the Chiefs hosted the AFC championship game for the sixth time in the last seven years. They faced a familiar foe in the Buffalo Bills in another installment of this AFC rivalry.

Kansas City's defense came up big late to keep Josh Allen and the Bills offense from making a comeback and secured a fourth playoff win over the Bills in the last five years.

The Chiefs are very familiar with the big game; Kansas City's in the Super Bowl for the fifth time in the last six seasons. They're no strangers to the Eagles, as these teams faced off in Super Bowl 57.
