Party for Pudsey The free Children In Need 2019 party

A free party is taking place in Hull city centre this Friday to celebrate Children In Need 2019.

BBC Look North presenter Peter Levy will be hosting Party For Pudsey in Queens Gardens on Friday night, and everyone is welcome to come and listen to live music from local bands, including Freedom Road, and take part in fundraising activities.

Peter said: "BBC Children in Need is a fantastic charity and every year we see the amazing work it does in the local area.

"I’m delighted to be presenting our event - it is really about having fun and to say thank you to everyone who has raised funds for this year’s Appeal.

"The party is open to all and we want as many people as possible to come along and join us in Hull city centre."

The party stars at 6pm on Friday, November 15, and no ticket or pre-booking is necessary.

Supporting BBC Children In Need this year will help fund even more projects like New Life Support in Goole, which benefits from a three year grant of £98,188, to provide a youth programme to disadvantaged children and young people living in the local area.

The project enables young people to access recreational and creative activities and workshops, as well as one to one support sessions to help to raise aspirations for the future.

BBC Children in Need currently helps 45 projects across Hull and East Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire, with funding of more than £2.3m across the regions.
