Strictly's Pete Wicks suspects public are 'playing cruel joke' on him
What did you miss?
Strictly Come Dancing semi-finalist Pete Wicks suggests the voting public "may potentially be playing a cruel joke" by keeping him and Jowita Przystał in the BBC competition.
Known for his many reality TV appearances, the ex-TOWIE star was speaking to Claudia Winkleman during Sunday, 1 December's results show when the presenter asked if he had a message for those watching at home.
His answer was typically self-deprecating.
What, how and why?
"Pete, you looked incredibly emotional then," pointed out Winkleman as Wicks, Przystał, Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell gathered on the sofa.
"I am speechless every week, especially this week because I've tried my best," he replied, fresh from being announced as safe from the dance-off.
"I'm just a bloke trying to learn stuff; the fact that I get to take Jowita to a semi-final means so much to me because she deserves it, she deserves everything. I just didn't wanna let her down tonight by messing it up."

Winkleman, who also presents The Traitors, went on to ask if Wicks had anything to say to the public after sending him and Przystał through with their votes.
"I feel like they may potentially be playing a cruel joke on me," he deadpanned, "but I couldn't be more thankful. I am so humbled by it, honestly."
Who left Strictly in the quarter-final?
At the end of the programme, Montell Douglas and her pro partner Johannes Radebe lost out to Tasha Ghouri and Aljaž Škorjanec in the latest dance-off following a unanimous judging decision.
"[Johannes] has been amazing," Douglas told Tess Daly. "Strictly has touched me in ways I never knew possible. I'm an Olympian and a Gladiator, but I have honestly struggled with confidence my whole life and being on the show, with the beautiful crew, the judges, the cast, has just been such an honour."
Radebe was full of praise for his 2024 celebrity partner, commenting: "I am so proud of you because you are a non-dancer. But the one thing that you have done every single week is turn out beautiful dancing.
"So I want to say to you, thank you for respecting our art form of Ballroom and Latin. The way you handled it was like a true pro. You're my winner."
Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday, 7 December on BBC One.
