BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Pete Wicks w
Strictly Come Dancing professional Jowita Przystal jokingly called her celebrity dance partner Pete Wicks "a control freak" as they reflected on their journey on the hit BBC show this week.
Having secured a place in the semi-final, they tackled fans' queries, including being asked to label each other as either a Ballroom or Latin dance.
Jowita quickly compared Pete to an Argentine Tango during his Staying Relevant podcast, saying: "There's no frame and you do Ganchos."
She mentioned that it includes "kicks and flicks, you know like when you flick the leg, so you hook my leg and I hook your leg and we go around and we hook each other's legs, and we're quite close and it's quite serious".
Jowita continued: "So, it's very serious, it's very passionate and it's very powerful - that's basically you.
"And you're a control freak as well, I need to genuinely listen [to] every step of yours, I need to follow you."
"OK, so that would be that," Pete replied, eager to move on. Tonight, they will aim to reach the final by performing an Argentine Tango to The Verve's Bittersweet Symphony and a Foxtrot to Bobby Darin's Beyond the Sea.
Competing for the Glitterball trophy are also Tasha Ghouri, Sarah Hadland, JB Gill and Chris McCausland.
The latest odds from Betway indicate Pete as the likely contestant to depart from the competition this upcoming weekend, although he has successfully proven such forecasts wrong to date. Chris and his professional partner Dianne Buswell are still leading the pack as favourites to take home the trophy.
Gladiators' own Montell Douglas was the latest recent celeb to exit the stage after facing Tasha in a challenging dance-off last wek. Pete could not hide his astonishment at the outcome, sharing a heartfelt post on Instagram to thank his supporters.
In his message, he expressed doubts about his continuation in the contest but assured fans that he'd put his best foot forward. Jowita added her words of encouragement, commenting: "You deserve it all Pete. And together we will create two beautiful dances this week."
