Who is Pete Davidson? The SNL star rumoured to be dating Kim Kardashian

Pete Davidson is the young comic that Hollywood darlings love to date as his relationship with mogul Kim Kardashian is officially confirmed.

The Saturday Night Livecomedian has been spotted around Hollywood with the newly single Kim since she made her SNL debut last month.

Pete is no stranger to whirlwind romance, having previously enjoyed a fling with Kate Beckinsale and a brief engagement to Ariana Grande - but who is the young comedian?

Early life

The 28-year-old comedian was born on 16 November 1993 to Amy and Scott Matthew Davidson in Staten Island New York.

When the comedian was just seven years old, his dad died in the September 11 2001 attacks.

Pete's father was a fire-fighter and died in service and was last seen running up the stairs in the building before it collapsed.

He told The New York Times that it was "overwhelming" and that he later acted out in school as a result of the trauma.

As a teenager, Pete battled health issues after being diagnosed with Crohn's Disease, a type of inflammatory bowel disease.

He told High Times in 2016: "I got Crohn's disease when I was 17 or 18, my stomach would just be in pain all day, and I wouldn't be able to eat."

In 2017, Pete revealed he had been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. "I got diagnosed with BPD a few years ago, and I was always just so confused all the time, and just thought something was wrong, and didn’t know how to deal with it,"

The star added: “Then, when somebody finally tells you, the weight of the world feels lifted off your shoulders. You feel so much better."

Career

Pete has been a regular cast on SNL since 2014 while appearing on Adam DeVine's House Party and Jimmy Kimmel Live! as well as going on live tours.

In 2016, he featured on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list; the same year he filmed his first stand up special Pete Davidson: SMD . Later in 2020 came his second stand up special, Alive from New York on Netflix.

His acting career kicked off in 2013 as he guest starred on hit comedy show Brooklyn Nine-Nine, while he co-wrote and starred in the semi-autobiographical comedy-drama film The King of Staten Island in 2020. His latest acting credit comes from the 2021 blockbuster The Suicide Squad, alongside stars like Margot Robbie and John Cena.

Dating history

The actor and comedian is well known for his famous girlfriends but who all has he dated?

First of all, it was actress and stand-up comedian Carly Aquilino back in 2015, before dating writer and actress Cazzie David for two years until 2018.

From May 2018, he was involved in his whirlwind romance with Ariana Grande where the pair got engaged after a few weeks. He even inspired a line in her smash hit 'Thank U Next'.

Next up Pete was linked to actress Kate Beckinsdale in January 2019, before splitting in April of the same year.

Following from Kate, Pete dated model Kaia Gerber and they confirmed their relationship in November 2019 when they were spotted holding hands. The pair dated for a few months, before splitting in January 2020.

Rumours of a relationship between Pete and Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor first arose in March 2021. The duo seemed to confirm their relationship before they were later spotted kissing at Wimbledon in the summer, however they called it quits in August.

And now we are onto his latest rumoured fling with Kim Kardashian.

The duo have seemingly confirmed their romance after they were spotted holding hands in Palm Springs.
