Olivia Colman enjoyed playing a cheeky prank on Paul Rudd live on the radio this morning, before delighting fans by revealing their little-known about long-term friendship.
The Oscar winner put on a Welsh accent as she called in on Greg James' Radio 1 Show during a segment called 'Agony Ant-Man', referring to Paul's title role in Marvel's Ant-Man franchise.
At the start of the call, Olivia asked: "I wanted to pick your brains... So what would you do if you had a really good mate, for over 20 years and this friend has come to England, and he doesn't live in England, and he hasn't told you about it, and not only has he not told you about it, he's gone on a radio show...?"

"Oh my god," Paul nervously replied. "Oh my god....I'd give them the benefit of the doubt?"
When Olivia revealed herself, Paul joked: "You really can do every accent!"
The Crown star then explained that she and Paul had been friends for many years after meeting when they did a play together two decades ago. Olivia recalled how Paul would stay on the floor of her "rubbish flat in South London" during this time, and occasionally pop over for Sunday lunch.
She added: "Paul was properly in the play and I had about two lines I think."
Who knew?
Olivia then admitted that the prank was in fact her idea, after she emailed Greg to ask if it would be OK when she heard on his show that Paul was coming in. Obviously the reply from Greg was a great big yes.
Greg posted the funny clip on his Instagram page, and added the caption: "The AMAZING moment when *actual* Olivia Colman called into Radio 1 Breakfast to prank Paul Rudd (AKA the ‘Agony Ant-Man’)."

It really was Paul's lucky week after he also received arguably the world's greatest gift during his interview with This Morning's Josie Gibson... A self-stirring tea cup.
Paul certainly seemed to enjoy it... Perhaps a little more than the prank!
This Morning airs on weekdays at 10am on ITV1. Radio 1's Breakfast with Greg James airs on weekdays at 7am.
