Michelle Keegan has given fans an insight into married life with Mark Wright, where date nights have become "a bit more boring". The Fool Me Once actress said the couple, who married in 2015, enjoy staying in and watching TV, but also enjoy dressing up and going for dinner.
Nights out which continue after midnight however are no longer on the cards, the 37-year-old has claimed. She told Closer Magazine: "In the old days, we'd go out for dinner and drinks until the early hours. But now, after dinner, I'll look at my watch and say, 'It's 9:30pm, we'd better get back home for bedtime! It's a bit more boring now!".
Being the proud owners of a jaw-dropping £3.5million Essex mansion, it's no surprise that the couple enjoy nights in together. Their stunning home boasts five bedrooms, a state-of-the-art gym, a sauna, an outdoor pool, as well as a cinema room.
They began sharing their home renovation journey on an Instagram page dedicated to the process back in 2021. After completing their project over two years later, they celebrated with a 'Marchella' housewarming party with their loved ones.
The former Coronation Street star was moved to tears when discussing their dream home finally being built, having been away in Australia during some of the process, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Speaking to The Guardian, she said: "It still gets me emotional. Because we've worked really hard for it. We've had to make a lot of sacrifices.
"I missed lots of milestones in my life due to work. Mark went to LA and we spent months apart, which was hard. But, it's worth it."
Michelle also mentioned that their home represents more than just luxury, explaining that it's "about security" because "you never know when all this is going to end".
The couple first met behind-the-scenes on the X Factor and crossed paths at various events thereafter, before making things official in 2012. The following year, Mark popped the question during a Dubai getaway and two years later, they were married.
