Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan are set to become parents for the first time. The couple, who have been together for nearly a decade, took to Instagram to share the exciting news with their followers.

They posted an endearing snapshot of ex-Coronation Street actress Michelle holding her baby bump on a sandy shore, captioning it: "2025 is going to be a special one for us.."

Celebrity friends were quick to celebrate the news, with Vicky Pattison from Geordie Shore commenting: "Congratulations you gorgeous pair. So happy for you both.", reports Birmingham Live.

James Argent from Towie also expressed his joy: "I love you and I'm so happy for you both, Your going to be amazing parents. I can't wait to be a Uncle."

The couple exchanged vows at St Mary's Church in Bury St Edmunds back in 2015 after meeting during the X Factor. Since then, Michelle has been busy filming internationally for series such as Ten Pound Poms, while Mark continues his career on Heart FM.

Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright have never been shy about their dreams of a bigger family. Speaking to Women's Health in 2018, Michelle revealed, "I've always been broody. I love kids, and I want four, so hopefully in the near future."

The following year, Mark shared his thoughts with the media: "We say we're going to try [for a baby] every year but something comes up with work. So it'll be Michelle filming in South Africa and then I got the job in Los Angeles – so we think, right, we'll try next year."

He added, contemplating his desired number of children, "With kids, I used to want three or four. But now, I'm 31, we're not having kids any time before 32. I think we could have two or three. Twins would be great because you're getting two out of the way at once! ".
