Martin Lewis' MSE warns HSBC customers who are set to lose £150 ...

Martin Lewis has warned HSBC UK credit card customers they have "hours" left to get free £150 cash. MoneySavingExpert is reminding HSBC Visa credit card users, that they can earn the cashback on groceries, fuel and transport over the next three months.

HSBC UK customers have got until 11.59pm on Monday 30 September to check if you're eligible and opt in. You must be an existing HSBC Visa credit card holder to get this offer, which means those with an HSBC Mastercard credit card won't qualify.

You must also have been sent an email from HSBC giving you the option to opt in. The major bank currently has four Visa credit cards: its Balance Transfer Credit Card, Purchase Plus Credit Card, Classic Credit Card, and Student Credit Card.

MSE explained: "If eligible, you should already have received an email with instructions on how to sign up. If you manage your HSBC Visa credit card through HSBC's app, you'll also have received a notification if you're able to apply.

"Fail to opt in and you won't get the cashback, even if you're eligible for it. Once opted in, you'll be able to earn 10% cashback (up to a maximum £50 a month) on most grocery, fuel and transport spending for three months.

"The offer will last from 1 October to 31 December." Under its terms and conditions, HSBC UK said: "To qualify for cashback, you must have an HSBC Visa credit card, be aged 18 years or over, and be resident in either England, Wales, or Scotland.

"Residents of Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland and non-UK addresses aren’t eligible for cashback. If you no longer meet the criteria at any time before cashback is awarded you will be disqualified, even if you met the criteria before, or during, the promotional period. HSBC accepts no responsibility for any delay or failure to pay cashback due to technical reasons or otherwise."
