ITV Jonathan Ross Show viewers floored by Lulu's 'changing' accent ...
Pop legend Lulu floored fans as she revealed how old she is on The Jonathan Ross Show - but also left them baffled with her accent. The Scottish singer was on the ITV chat show to promote her tour Champagne For Lulu.
She told fans it would be her last tour, revealing: "I don't want to give up but I don't want to do it that way anymore, I don't want to tour, because 60 years in this business..."
The audience then whooped and applauded the star as she revealed her real age. She continued: "I was 75 in November," before being cut off by the stunned audience.

Fans took to X, formerly Twitter, to comment. One wrote: "Lulu on Jonathan Ross Show looks amazing." Another said: "60 years in the business.. At the age of 75... Wow. #Lulu #jonathanross #jonathanrossshow #anthonyjoshua #michalpalin and I'll be seeing her next Tuesday.. #ChampaignForLulu."
Others were distracted from her chat with Jonathan though, as they couldn't get over how much her accent has changed over the years. One viewer commented: "#TheJRshow I thought Lulu was Scottish she's Sounded Australian American and Irish all at once."
Lulu, whose real name is Marie McDonald McLaughlin Lawrie, was given her stage name by her future manager when she was 14. Marion Massey commented: "Well, all I know is that she's a real lulu[a] of a kid."
While only fifteen, her version of the Isley Brothers' "Shout" peaked at No. 7 on the UK chart. She went on to win the Eurovision Song Contest in 1969 with the song "Boom Bang-a-Bang".
She's had many more major hits over her career, including "To Sir with Love" from the 1967 film of the same name, and with the title song to the 1974 James Bond film The Man with the Golden Gun.
