Mark Lawrenson makes brutal Leicester City prediction with ...

Pundit Mark Lawrenson has tipped Leicester City to suffer their second 3-0 defeat in a row - this time at the hands of Liverpool tonight (Friday).

Lawrenson, who himself played for Liverpool between 1981 and 1988, has backed his former club to pick up the win as Brendan Rodgers returns to Anfield in the away dugout once more.

City lost 3-0 to Newcastle on Boxing Day, in a game during which they found themselves two down within seven minutes. Rodgers brought his players in the next day, cancelling their scheduled time off, in order to try and put things right before the trip to Merseyside.

It will not be enough, Lawrenson thinks. After watching Liverpool against Aston Villa this week, he has backed his club - as he did for every match while he was doing predictions for the BBC.

"I’ll be at this game and it will be Brendan Rodgers coming back to Anfield again, though it’s not that much of a big deal these days as he’s been back a few times now," Lawrenson wrote in his weekly predictions column for Paddy Power.

"Leicester were taken apart by Newcastle and I did the Liverpool game at Aston Villa and, honestly, it could have ended 12-5! It was mad, absolutely bonkers. Liverpool 3-0 Leicester."
