Leeds United Women return to FA WNL Division One North action with a Yorkshire Derby against Doncaster Rovers Belles on Wednesday evening.

The Whites will be keen to recapture their best form, having struggled for results in recent weeks. Last time out, Simon Wood’s side were narrowly edged out on home soil by table-topping Cheadle Town, despite Jess Rousseau’s emphatic finish in Garforth.

United currently sit fourth in the standings, knowing they can move to within four points of the leaders should they win their game in hand.

It has been a tough season for the Belles, meanwhile, who currently sit in the relegation zone having won just three matches from 16 and losing 10 in that time.

Most recently in league action, Ciaran Toner’s side fell to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of South Yorkshire rivals Barnsley away from home.

The two teams have already met once this campaign, with goals from Amy Woodruff, Rousseau and Darcie Greene sealing an important three points at the Bannister Prentice Stadium back in September.
