Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz: Date, UK start time, TV channel and live ...
Jake Paul will look to get his boxing career back on track on Saturday when he takes on UFC icon Nate Diaz.
The former Youtuber has caused quite a stir in the boxing world since announcing himself on the scene with a fight on the undercard of his older brother, Logan's fight with KSI in 2018. Paul started out making videos on Vine where he gained 5.3 million followers and 2 billion views, which then give him the platform to launch a successful YouTube channel in 2014 at the age of 17, before he was then picked up to star in a Disney Channel show.
The 'problem child' then got involved with music, marketing and sports promotion before launching his boxing career. Paul has not been without his controversies and despite only fighting one professional boxer so far in Fury, Paul has a talent for hype and promotion making every bout he's in a must-watch for all fight fans.
Excitement around Paul reached fever pitch when he took on the fight with Tommy Fury this year. However his latest fight could well be his toughest as he comes up against one of UFC's most well known names in Nate Diaz.
Paul turned to boxing in 2018 when he faced Youtuber Deji Olatunji on the undercard of Logan Paul vs KSI. The defeat of Olatunji. Since that fight, Paul faced a series of non pro boxers and took on youtuber AnEsonGib, professional basketball player Nate Robinson, former Bellator MMA and ONE Welterweight Champion Ben Askren, UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley, who he also beat again in a rematch, and former UFC champion Anderson Silva.
However that all changed when he stepped up to face Fury in Saudi Arabia. After an initial bout collapsed due to medical issues on Fury's side, the fight was then rescheduled for February 2023 and heavily publicised with the pair engaging in a heated war of words prior to the fight.
'The Problem Child' Jake Paul and UFC icon Nate Diaz will finally meet on August 5 in a highly anticipated grudge match which will be shown live on DAZN PPV.

DAZNOn the night Paul lost via a split decision, although he did knock Fury to the canvas in the eighth round. The defeat was a chastening one for Paul and he remained philosophical about it insisting that the fight with Diaz was all part of the plan regardless, saying: “Nate Diaz was always the plan after Tommy," Paul said. "That was what I said. Even in the build-up to Tommy, I was like it's Nate Diaz after Tommy Fury. So that was always the plan… This is a big fight."
His opponent, Diaz fought in the UFC for over 15 years after winning The Ultimate Fighter 5 and is probably best known for his two fights against Conor McGregor, winning the first and losing the second. However with a 22-13 record in MMA, Diaz left the UFC in September 2022 after a fight with Tony Ferguson and decided to enter into the world of professional boxing.
