With fate of 84 players sealed and Rs 467.9 crore splashed by teams on first day of IPL mega auction in Jeddah, the bidders will assembly again on Monday to restart the bidding war for big names such as Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Faf du Plessis, Washington Sundar, Marco Jansen, Deepak Chahar, Krunal Pandya and others.

First day of the IPL mega auction saw India's wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant tumbling Shreyas Iyer's record within minutes to become the costliest buy in IPL's history with a Rs 27 crore winning bid from Lucknow Super Giants as teams expectedly went the extra mile for marquee Indian players at the mega auction. Iyer, who captained the Kolkata Knight Riders to the title earlier this year, and Delhi Capitals' icon Pant, reaped the benefits of making themselves available at the auction following differences with their respective teams.

A total of 84 players from the roster of 577 were presented on the opening day of the two-day auction at the Abadi Al Johar Arena in Jeddah. Out of these 68 got sold, while four were retained through the Right-to-Match card.Punjab who had the heaviest purse on Day 1 spent huge bucks to buy players, and now are left with Rs 22 crore. As for now, SRH has just Rs 5.5 crore while RCB ranks top with heaviest purse for Day 2 at Rs 30.65 crore.

  • Mumbai Indians: Rs. 26.1 crore
  • Kolkata Knight Riders: Rs. 10.5 crore
  • Chennai Super Kings: Rs. 15.6 crore
  • Rajasthan Royals: Rs. 17.35 crore
  • Royal Challengers Bengaluru: Rs. 30.65 crore
  • Delhi Capitals: Rs. 13.8 crore
  • Gujarat Titans: Rs. 17.5crore
  • Lucknow Super Giants: Rs. 14.85 crore
  • Punjab Kings: Rs. 22.5 crore
  • Sunrisers Hyderabad: Rs. 5.5 crore
