IPL auction 2025 Day 1: Here’s the updated list of purse left with all 10 teams after the first day of the IPL mega auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

He has a base price of Rs. 30 lakh. He has no bids.

Rs, 30 lakh for Manav Suthar. GT makes the bid and signs him for Rs. 30 lakh.

Rajasthan Royals makes the first bid at Rs. 30 lakh. Mumbai does not use the RTM option.

SUYASH SHARMA SOLD TO RCB FOR RS. 2.60 CRORE.

CSK starts the bidding at Rs. 30 lakh before SRH enters. SRH buys for Rs 1.5 crore.

KKR opens the bidding at Rs. 30 lakh. RR enters the bidding and the two teams see the price rise past Rs. 1 crore. No third team in the reckoning. RR opts out after Rs 1.50 crore. But DC comes in at Rs. 1.70 crore. 

KKR SIGNS VAIBHAV ARORA FOR RS. 1.80 CRORE

Rs. 30 lakh is the opening price and GT opens the bidding. PBKS competing with GT. The price is well over Rs. 1 crore now. RCB does not use the RTM option.

PBKS SIGNS VYSHAK VIJAYKUMAR FOR RS. 1.80 CRORE.

He gets a base price of Rs. 50 lakh. GT and DC bid and take the price over Rs. 1 crore. DC has the highest bid at Rs. 1.70 crore before GT raises it to Rs. 1.80 crore. PBKS ponders over raising but opts against it. GT and DC back in the race now with the former having a Rs, 2 crore bid.

DC SIGNS MOHIT SHARMA FOR RS. 2.20 CRORE

RR opens the bidding at Rs. 30 lakh. PBKS raises the bid to Rs. 35 lakh. The two continue to push the price higher which now touches Rs. 1 crore. RR with the bid at Rs. 1.20 crore and takes the player home.

RCB with the opening bid at Rs. 30 lakh. SRH also enters the bidding. The price zooms past Rs. 1 crore. RCB with a Rs. 2 crore bid. SRH is out of the race. DC uses the RTM option. RCB raises the bid to a whopping Rs. 6 crore and force DC out of the RTM option.

KKR with the bid at Rs. 30 lakh. PBKS ponders over it and ups the price to Rs. 35 lakh. KKR makes it Rs. 40 lakh before PBKS takes it back. MI now with Rs. 50 lakh. PBKS goes to Rs. 55 lakh. The price is now Rs. 95 lakh with the bid with PBKS. He is sold to PBKS.

No suitors for him at Rs. 30 lakh.

DC takes the price over Rs. 2 crore. The price is now over Rs. 3 crore. DC with the bid at Rs. 3.40 crore. DC then raises it to Rs. 3.80 crore. 

ASHUTOSH SHARMA SIGNS WITH DC FOR RS. 3.80 CRORE

Base price of Rs. 50 lakh. RR starts the bidding. GT enters the race and the price is inching close to Rs. 1 crore. RR has the bid at Rs. 1.40 crore but GT raises it to Rs. 1.50 crore. RCB does not exercise the RTM option.

GT SIGNS MAHIPAL LOMROR AT RS. 1.70 CRORE

GT and CSK start the bidding from the base price of Rs. 30 lakh. GT enters in the bidding but CSK has the highest bid at Rs. 1.20 crore.

LSG bids at the base price of Rs. 30 lakh before PBKS enters the bidding. LSG pulls out of the race at Rs. 1.10 crore. MI enters at Rs. 1.20 crore. PBKS ups the price to Rs. 1.50 crore.

PBKS SIGNS HARPREET BRAR FOR RS. 1.50 CRORE

Rs. 30 lakh is the base price and RCB has its paddle up. LSG engages in a bidding war with RCB and the two take the price past Rs. 1 crore. LSG with the bid at Rs. 1.50 crore before PBKS makes it Rs. 1.60 crore. The price moves over Rs. 3 crore now. LSG with the bid at Rs. 3.80 crore. LSG finally gets the winning bid at Rs. 4.20 crore. SRH does not go for its RTM option.

ABDUL SAMAD SOLD TO LSG FOR RS. 4.20 CRORE

A base price of Rs. 30 lakh for Naman Dhir. MI and RCB with the initial bids. RCB holds the bid at Rs. 50 lakh but MI raises it to Rs. 55 lakh. DC enters the bidding and gets the price beyond Rs. 1 crore. MI has the bid at Rs. 1.60 crore. DC raises the bid to Rs. 1.90 crore. MI comes up with the paddle at Rs. 2 crore. RR raises to Rs. 2.20 crore. PBKS enters the bidding and raises the price to Rs. 3.20 crore. RR goes up to Rs. 3.40 crore. That proves to be the winning bid. MI uses the RTM option. RR ups the price to Rs. 5.25 crore. MI accepts it.

NAMAN DHIR GOES TO MI FOR RS 5.25 CRORE

A base price of Rs. 30 lakh again. CSK starts the bidding. DC follows it up and the price zooms towards Rs. 1 crore. DC with a bid of Rs. 95 lakh.

Sameer Rizvi sold to DC for Rs. 95 lakh.

RR SIGNS WANINDU HASARANGA FOR RS. 5.25 CRORE

Rs. 2 crore for Adam Zampa and SRH makes the first bid. RR makes it Rs. 2.20 crore. SRH makes it Rs. 2.40 crore and gets the player.

A base price of Rs. 1 crore. MI and SRH start the bidding for the leg-spinner. The price is now past Rs. 3 crore. SRH with the bid at Rs. 3.20 crore. PBKS has an RTM option but they do not exercise it.

RAHUL CHAHAR TO SRH FOR RS. 3.20 CRORE

We’re into the capped spinners now. He is at a base price of Rs. 2 crore. Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals vying for the spinner. RR has the bid at Rs. 4.40 crore and gets the player.

MI with a bid worth Rs. 8.50 crore. RR persisting and raise it to Rs. 8.75 crore. The price is now past Rs. 10 crore. MI with a bid at Rs. 12 crore. RR raises it to Rs. 12.25 before MI goes one bid further. RR out at Rs. 12.50 crore.

TRENT BOULT SOLD TO MUMBAI INDIANS FOR RS. 12.50 CRORE

A base price of Rs. 2 crore and SRH makes the opening bid. RCB at Rs. 2.20 crore. The two teams persist which sees the price go past Rs. 4 crore. Delhi also makes a bid but RCB continues to chase the player. DC with a bid worth Rs. 6.75 crore. DC pushes the bid to Rs. 7.75 crore. RCB follows it to Rs. 8 crore. DC now in with Rs. 8.75 crore. RCB pulls out at Rs. 10.25 crore but makes another bid for Rs. 10.50 crore.

DELHI CAPITALS SIGNS T. NATARAJAN FOR RS. 10.75 CRORE

At Rs. 2 crore, CSK bids for Khaleel. LSG is the second team in the fray. CSK has the bid at Rs. 4.80 crore. That’s the final bid and CSK has him. DC has an RTM but does not use it.

A base price of Rs. 2 crore. LSG starts with the bidding and MI joins in. The price rockets through past Rs. 6 crore. LSG has the bid at Rs. 8.25 crore but RR comes in at Rs. 8.50 crore. MI with a bid worth Rs. 10.25 crore. RR showing no signs of stopping, raising the bid to Rs. 11 crore. MI pushes the price higher and has the bid at Rs. 12.25 crore. RR is up for a fight at raise the paddle for Rs. 12.50 crore.

JOFRA ARCHER SOLD TO RR FOR RS. 12.50 CRORE

A base price of Rs. 2 crore. LSG starts with the first bid. KKR raises it tot Rs. 2.20 crore. The teams are prompt in raising the paddle before LSG pulls out at Rs. 6.50 crore. DC does not opt for the RTM option.

ANRICH NORTJE SOLD TO KKR FOR RS. 6.50 CRORE.

Rs, 2 crore to start for Avesh and LSG and PBKS start with the bids. LSG with the bid at Rs. 4 crore. But PBKS gets it up to Rs. 4.25 crore. PBKS has the bid at Rs. 6 crore. RR comes in at Rs. 6.50 crore. LSG still pursues. At 9.75 crore, the bid is with LSG. 

AVESH KHAN GOES TO LSG FOR RS. 9.75 CRORE

A base price of Rs. 2 crore for Prasidh. RR and GT in the early bidding war for the pacer. The price is already at Rs. 5 crore with GT having the bid. No relenting from either side as the price is now over Rs. 8 crore. GT has the bid at Rs. 9 crore but RR raises it to Rs. 9.25 crore but pulls out eventually.

GT SIGNS PRASIDH KRISHNA FOR RS. 9.50 CRORE

A base price of Rs. 2 crore and LSG makes the first bid. KKR joins in at Rs. 2.20 crore. The two teams take the price over Rs. 6 crore now. RCB bids at Rs. 9 crore but LSG continues to pump in the moolah. LSG pulls out of the race at Rs. 10 crore. MI comes in at Rs. 10.25 crore. RCB now with Rs. 11 crore. MI pulls out at Rs. 12.50 crore. 

RCB SIGNS JOSH HAZLEWOOD AT RS. 12.50 CRORE

We will have capped fast bowlers coming in to the auction now.

The final player in the set. He starts at the base price of Rs. 1 crore. CSK and LSG in a bidding battle as the price moves over Rs. 3 crore now. LSG pulls out at Rs. 4.40 crore and RCB enters at Rs. 4.60 crore. DC ups the bid to Rs. 4.80 crore. RCB with the bid at Rs. 5.50 crore. CSK bids again at Rs. 5.75 crore. RCB keeps going after the player and gets the highest bid at Rs. 7 crore. PBKS goes for its RTM option. RCB raises the price to Rs. 11 crore which PBKS does not match.

Mumbai Indians starts the bidding at Rs. 2 crore. PBKS raises it to Rs. 2.20 crore. MI raises the paddle once more and gets the price up to Rs. 2.80 crore. PBKS raises to Rs. 3 crore. The price is past Rs. 4 crore now. DC with a bid at Rs. 4.80 crore. PBKS raises it to Rs. 5 crore. DC and PBKS locked for the player as the price up to Rs. 7.50 crore now with Punjab. DC with the bid at Rs. 8.25 crore. PBKS in at Rs. 8.50 crore. DC pulls out at Rs. 9.50 crore but then goes for Rs. 9.75 crore. PBKS goes for Rs. 10 crore. DC out of it now. SRH sweeps in at Rs. 10.25 crore. PBKS considering going for a raise and then ups the bid. SRH with Rs. 10.75 crore. PBKS pulls out and SRH signs Ishan Kishan for Rs. 11.25 crore.

Starting price of Rs. 2 crore for the Afghan player. KKR makes the first bid. That is the only bid on the floor and the player is back to KKR.

A base price of Rs. 2 crore for Salt. MI with the opening bid before RCB joins in. MI opts out at Rs. 4 crore. KKR gets in the war at Rs. 4.20 crore. RCB continues to pump in money and the price zooms past Rs. 7 crore. KKR bids at Rs. 7.75 crore before RCB raises it to Rs. 8 crore. The price is now at Rs. 9.75 crore with KKR. RCB raises it to Rs. 10 crore and then to Rs. 10.50 crore. KKR ups the price to Rs. 10.75 crore but RCB is right back in the mix at 11 crore. Long deliberations in both camps and KKR raises the paddle once more. RCB gets the final bid at Rs. 11.50 crore. 

Phil Salt goes to RCB for Rs. 11.50 crore.

No takers for Bairstow at a base price of Rs. 2 crore.

A base price of Rs. 2 crore for QdK. SRH starts the bidding at the base price. PBKS thinks about it for a minute before MI raises the price to 2.20. SRH ups the price to Rs. 2.40 but MI follows it up with another raise. KKR enters the bidding at 3.20 crore. MI gets the price further up. KKR has the bid at Rs. 3.60 crore, no other suitors. LSG has an RTM option. They do not use it.

MITCHELL MARSH GOES TO LSG FOR RS. 3.40 CRORE

A base price of Rs. 2 crore. RCB starts the bidding and RCB joins in. Bengaluru moves the bid upto Rs. 4.40 crore. CSK pushes the price higher and bids Rs. 6 crore. RCB with a bid worth Rs. 6.75 crore. CSK pulls out at Rs. 8.25 crore before coming back at Rs. 8.50 crore. RCB raises it to Rs. 8.75 crore. PBKS makes it Rs. 9 crore now. RCB not relenting but PBKS’ 11 crore bid makes RCB think. RCB pulls out but LSG has an RTM option and they do not use it.

PUNJAB KINGS SIGNS MARCUS STOINIS FOR RS. 11 CRORE.

A base price of Rs. 2 crore. KKR and LSG start the early bidding and the price moves upwards of Rs. 6 crore. RCB makes a bid at Rs. 8.50 crore. It is between KKR and RCB now. The batons keep going up. RCB with a 13.50 crore bid. Rs. 17 crore from RCB now. KKR continues to push the price up. KKR with Rs. 18.25 crore bid now. The price is past Rs. 20 crore now. KKR with a bid worth Rs. 21.25 crore. RCB raises it to Rs. 22 crore. KKR ups it to Rs. 23.25 crore. A long ponderation from RCB and they make it Rs. 23.50 crore. KKR raises it to Rs. 23.75 crore.

Gujarat Titans starts the bidding at Rs. 2 crore. CSK into it at Rs. 2.20 crore. Punjab Kings comes it at Rs. 6 crore. GT ups it to Rs. 6.25 crore. PBKS gets it to Rs. 7 crore. LSG makes it to Rs. 7.25 crore. GT now out of the race, for now at least. The price now over Rs. 10 crore. LSG and PBKS keep bidding. PBKS bids at Rs. 12 crore. LSG not letting go. It has the bid with Rs. 13.75 crore. PBKS takes it to Rs. 14 crore. LSG backs out. RCB thinking about it and raises the price to Rs. 14.25 crore. PBKS to Rs. 14.50 crore. Mumbai Indians with the first bid at Rs. 2 crore. Kolkata Knight Riders at 2.20 but MI ups it till Rs. 2.80. The two-team tussle continues as the price crosses Rs. 6 crore. DC comes in at Rs. 6.25 crore. KKR continues its pursuit and the bid is at Rs. 9 crore. RCB comes in to the bidding at Rs. 10.50 crore. KKR follows up at Rs. 10.75 crore but RCB raises the baton once more. DC back into the game at 11.25 crore. 

DELHI CAPITALS SIGNS MITCHELL STARC FOR RS. 11.75 CRORE.

A base price of Rs. 2 crore. Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans in the reckoning. The two get the price rocketing to Rs. 9.50 crore before PBKS comes in at Rs. 9.75 crore. Gujarat Titans still in the hunt for Buttler. GT with the bid at Rs. 12 crore. PBKS raises to 12.25 but GT follows it up with a higher bid. PBKS ups it to Rs. 13.25 but GT swiftly follows it up to Rs. 13.50. Lucknow Super Giants comes in at Rs. 13.75 crore. GT still continues to put in the money. GT with the highest bid at Rs. 15.75 crore.

GUJARAT TITANS SIGNS JOS BUTTLER FOR Rs. 15.75 crore. The team’s purse is Rs. 42.50 crore.

The former KKR captain in at the auction with a base price of Rs. 2 crore. KKR makes the first bid. Punjab Kings coming in at Rs. 2.20 crore. No other teams in contention and KKR with the bid at Rs. 7.25 crore. But DC comes in with Rs. 7.50 crore and eventually raises it till Rs. 10 crore. PBKS comes back at Rs. 10.25 crore. DC with the bid at Rs. 13.50 crore. But DC takes it to Rs. 14 crore. The price moves up to 16 with DC before PBKS gets it to Rs. 16.25. Delhi has it at Rs. 17.50 crore. Rs. 20 crore with DC now as PBKS pumps up the price. Delhi moves it up to Rs. 22 crore. But PBKS comes in at Rs. 22.50. PBKS has the bid at Rs. 24.75 crore but Delhi raises it to 25. Shreyas Iyer is the most expensive player in the IPL HISTORY. We just need to know the amount now. DC has the bid at Rs. 26 crore but PBKS goes to Rs. 26.25 crore. PBKS has the bid at Rs. 26.75 crore. Delhi Capitals backs out. 

PUNJAB KINGS SIGNS SHREYAS IYER AT Rs. 26.75 CRORE. The side has 65.75 crore left in its purse now.

RCB starts the bid at base price of Rs. 2 crore. Gujarat Titans raises it to Rs. 2.20 crore and the two teams set off on a bidding spree. Mumbai Indians enters as the price zooms past Rs. 7 crore. GT and RCB continue to vie for the player and the price is over Rs. 10 crore now. RCB with the bid at Rs. 10.50 crore, but GT raises it to 10.75. 

GUJARAT TITANS SIGNS RABADA FOR Rs. 10.75 CRORE. PBKS DOES NOT USE ITS RTM.

The base price of Rs. 2 crore for Arshdeep. CSK starts with the first bid. Delhi Capitals at 2.20 and CSK back to 2.40. The price shoots past Rs. 6 crore as the two bid for Arshdeep. Chennai backs out at Rs. 7.50 crore, which is Delhi’s bid but Gujarat Titans now enters the bid at Rs. 7.75 crore. GT keeps the bid at Rs. 9.25 crore before Delhi goes one better at 9.50. RCB enters at Rs. 10 crore. Rajasthan Royals comes in at Rs. 11 crore. GT keeps the bid at 11.75. But RR engages further and the price is past Rs. 12 crore. Sunrisers Hyderabad comes in at Rs. 12.75 crore. The price is now past Rs. 14 crore. RR with the bid at Rs. 15 crore. SRH then with the best bid at Rs. 15.75 crore. Sunrisers Hyderabad buys Arshdeep Singh at Rs. 15.75 crore. Punjab Kings uses RTM. SRH has raised the price to Rs. 18 crore. And PBKS obliges.

Apart from the Marquee players, only one set of each specialism – batters, spinners, pacers, all-rounders, wicketkeepers (capped and uncapped) - will go under the hammer today.

The incremental bids are the same as last year. Rs 5 lakh (up to Rs 1 cr), Rs 10 lakh (1 to 2 cr.), Rs 20 lakh (2 to 5 cr) and Rs 25 lakh (Rs 5 crore onward).

KKR exhausted its full quota of six player retentions ahead of the auction and the defending champion is left with a purse of Rs. 51 crore. The team will want to find an able opening partner for Sunil Narine, who paired up with Phil Salt at the top to provide the side with blistering starts in the PowerPlay earlier this year. It could target Buttler, Lewis, De Kock, or Jake Fraser-McGurk, or could even bring back Salt. With Shreyas Iyer gone, KKR will also be on the look-out for a skipper, and could eye Rishabh Pant or Rahul. In Rinku Singh, Andre Russell, and Ramandeep Singh, Knight Riders have a middle-order that can fire on all cylinders but will need a crisis man in the mould of Shreyas.

Having retained pacer Harshit Rana, KKR will need a new-ball bowler and could turn to Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Avesh or Boult, amongst others. However, with Narine and Varun Chakaravarthy in its ranks, KKR may not feel the need to break the bank on spinners.

RCB retained just three players - Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar and Yash Dayal - ahead of the auction and will need to build its squad from scratch. It will first look to find a captaincy candidate as Faf du Plessis, in the twilight of his career, is unlikely to return. RCB could target KL Rahul, who could also double up as wicketkeeper.

While Patidar will be the anchor in the middle-order, RCB will need power-hitters who will rally around him, and could target the likes of Liam Livingstone, or even use the RTM option to bring back Glenn Maxwell or Will Jacks. In the bowling department, Mohammed Siraj could be roped in again using the RTM card. RCB will want to get its auction strategy right, particularly with regards to its bowling line-up, as it is an area it has struggled to grapple with.

Having retained a strong Indian core, Mumbai Indians can only use its remaining RTM option on an uncapped player. It could eye uncapped Indian pacer Anshul Kamboj, who recently scripted history by claiming 10 wickets in an innings in the Ranji Trophy. It could also use its RTM card on pacer Akash Madhwal. With Jasprit Bumrah leading the attack, an overseas pacer, particularly one who operates in the middle-overs, will lend MI’s bowling more teeth.

However, it will first look to find an opening partner for former skipper Rohit Sharma, and it could look to buy back Ishan Kishan - albeit at a lower price than the left-hander fetched in 2022. Buttler, Quinton de Kock and Evin Lewis are some other options MI could explore.

MI has been light in the spin department in recent seasons and it will look to fill that gap by bringing in either Chahal or Ashwin, or even target an overseas tweaker such as Noor Ahmad or Wanindu Hasaranga.

Five-time champion CSK will have a significant amount of shopping to do at the auction. High on its priority list will be an opening partner for skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad. With one RTM option available, it could look to bag Devon Conway or Rachin Ravindra to fill that slot. Moreover, a couple of power-hitters in the middle-order could help set the stage for MS Dhoni and Shivam Dube’s finishing touches. CSK could thus eye Glenn Maxwell, Rishabh Pant or Liam Livingstone for that role.

Having retained death-overs specialist Matheesha Pathirana, CSK will need a new-ball bowler. Mohammed Siraj, Boult, Jofra Archer and Avesh Khan are some of the options Super Kings could explore.

With Ravindra Jadeja in its ranks, CSK will also need a specialist spinner could can operate on its spin-friendly tracks at Chepauk. Ashwin, Maheesh Theekshana and Chahal are some of the spinners CSK could target.

The Royals used their full quota of six player retentions ahead of the auction and will not be able to avail of the Right-to-Match (RTM) card. With just Rs. 41 crore in its purse, Rajasthan Royals could also find it tough to buy back some of its stars from previous seasons such as Jos Buttler, Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal.

In skipper Sanju Samson and Yashasvi Jaiswal, RR may have found a solution for Buttler’s absence at the top. However, it could look to buy back New Zealand pacer Trent Boult, who has been a key wicket-taker in the PowerPlay. In fact, overseas fast-bowlers will be a commodity high on the priority list of the Royals.

In Riyan Parag, Shimron Hetmyer and Dhruv Jurel, RR has a stable middle-order and will eye an all-rounder at the auction who lends further might to the batting line-up and a handy bowling option too. In the absence of Ashwin and Chahal, a spin-bowling all-rounder could be help RR paper over the cracks.

A team can use the RTM card to match the highest bid placed on a player who was part of its squad during the previous season. However, in this auction, the franchise that places the original bid will be allowed one more opportunity to raise the bid for the player after the RTM card is invoked.

If the team with the RTM option decides to match that final bid, it will retain the player in question. If not, the original bidder will secure the player’s services while the RTM card will be restored for the team that loses out.

The Right-to-Match (RTM) rule is being reintroduced for this year’s auction after it was last used for the 2018 edition. The RTM card will allow teams that didn’t use their full quota of six player retentions ahead of the auction to retain some of the players from their previous squads.
