All week the story around Liverpool had been about the need to strengthen the midfield, following the loss to Manchester United last Monday.

However, after the game against the Cherries, no one was really thinking about what more the Champions League runners up needed, after dismantling their opposition 9-0, the equal biggest ever win in the Premier League.

Elliott was at the centre of much that was good about the win, scoring in the sixth minute, being at the heart of many attacks and being unplayable at times, as his own personal highlights package shows.

The 19-year-old actually showed a huge maturity beyond his years, without anyone realising it until after full time, with the midfielder dropping to his knees and looking up to the sky at the final whistle.

Speaking after the match, the Fulham academy graduate, revealed that his nan had sadly passed away during the week.

Asked if it was a special goal by LFCTV after the game, Elliott said, "Yeah, my nan passed away a few days ago. It was just for her really – and more importantly the three points."

An understandably teary Elliott had to compose himself before moving on to praise teammate Roberto Firmino, who scored twice and had three assists in the game.

"Bobby is a great player, as well as a great guy and it’s always a great thing to play with him," the teenager said, "He’s unselfish in many ways, and just for his confidence today, it was unbelievable."

The nine goal win levelled Liverpool with Manchester United and Leicester City with the record, with United beating Ipswich and Southampton and Leicester beating Southampton by the same scores.

The Egyptian surprisingly managed to score no goals and get no assists despite his team scoring nine times, a blow for many Fantasy football players.
