Gina Carano has been involved in a whole load of Twitter drama over the past few days, and here’s exactly what happened.
It all started when The Mandalorian actress started posting a number of different political tweets that caused a real stir amongst social media users.
On November 14th, she posted an image that said: “Breaking News. Democratic government leaders now recommends we all wear blindfolds along with masks so we can’t see what’s really going on.”
The tweet suggested that the government are not enforcing mask-wearing to protect people from Covid-19, but are actually doing so as a method of control, alleging that Gina doesn’t support the wearing of masks.
Then, on November 15th, the posted another image that said: “In a world where everyone wears a mask i’s a privilege to see a soul.”
Many Twitter users instantly assumed that Gina has an anti-mask stance, and started calling her out for her opinions.
One Twitter user said: “Star Wars needs to kill off cara either this season or next season after gina carano made that anti-mask tweet.”
Another tweeted the Mandalorian producer directly and said: “@jonfavs – you really vouch for @ginacarano ? Her anti-mask and COVID-denial statements? Her saying that the election was rigged and Trump is the rightful winner? You wrote this character for her, knowing what kind of human she is?”
Gina’s opinions on mask-wearing really riled up a lot of Twitter users, and the hashtag #FireGinaCarano even started trending.
“Gina Carano is really one of those people who think that you shouldn’t wear a mask and that the government is taking away you freedom by telling you to stay home? love, it’s a f***ing pandemic. What a moron,” said another.

Gina Carano – star of The Mandalorian – has tweeted stuff that is not only thought to be anti-trans, but, also, anti-mask and pro the idea the election was stolen from Trump… I just can’t remember a young actor blowing up their career quite like it. What’s next? I’m hooked!

Episode 12 of The Mandalorian season 2 just aired on Disney+, and it saw Gina Carano’s character Cara Dune returning from the first season. However, the episode wasn’t met with much support, and after the things she tweeted about masks, viewers wished she hasn’t returned to the show at all.
One Twitter user said: “I would’ve enjoyed this week’s episode of Mandalorian if Gina Carano wasn’t in it. Don’t really care for election fraud conspiracy spreading, anti-mask, transphobic actresses.”
“Gina arano has absolutely ruined cara dune for me now like i really tried but i just cannot separate the character from the actress I’m so mad,” said another.
However, others loved Gina’s return to The Mandalorian.
Another person said: “@ginacarano I don’t care what these people say. Love you on the Mandalorian. You are a beautiful person! Don’t let these cancel culture a**holes get to you. The true fans love you.”
