Manchester United legends to take on NI comedians in charity ...

Manchester United legends will touch down in Belfast next week to take on local comedians in a match - all in the name of charity.

The big game will kick off on Saturday, June 24 at Solitude in North Belfast. Money raised through ticket sales and other means throughout the event, will go directly to TAMHI, a mental health charity.

TAMHI (Tackling Awareness of Mental Health Issues), works with sports clubs and groups, including schools, to raise awareness of mental health and resilience.

Some iconic names taking part from the world of football include George McMullan, Paul Leeman, Barry Johnston and Marty Tabb, Lee Sharpe and Jaap Stam. And on the other team, Paddy Barnes, Shane Todd, Ryan Burnett and Ciaran Bartlett are just a few names who will take on the Red Devils side.

Speaking to Belfast Live, TAMHI's Mickey Meehan said tickets are still available to buy for a day not to be missed.

"Champions League winners, Premier League, FA Cup winners, we have got them all," he added.

"We couldn't have done this without the support of sponsors and our supporters within the community. This event will be massive for the community and will spread positive news about Belfast on both sides with Cliftonville and Crusaders joining forces.

"Local stars Paddy Barnes, Ryan Burnett and some of NI's finest comedians Shane Todd, Ciaran Bartlett and others are taking to the field for a great cause."

"North Belfast is an area adversely affected by suicide and we are all united to tackle the issue," Mickey continued.

"This game will help tackle awareness of mental health issues and we are delighted that we have so many iconic names taking part.

"North Belfast has one highest levels of suicide in Northern Ireland, but when it comes to mental health there is no division."
