Emmerdale has released a first look showing the devastating aftermath of Rishi Sharma's death after the much-loved character was killed off on Thursday night.
During the latest episode, as Jai Sharma and Laurel Thomas celebrated their wedding together with their family and friends, Rishi was not present, having fallen out with his son over lying about who his father really was.
In an emotional speech, Jai spoke of celebrating absent friends, as he thanked his dad Rishi for always supporting him and vowed to talk to him soon and tell him how much he meant to him.
And in true soap style, the camera then panned to see Rishi lying dead at the bottom of the stairs in a heartbreaking twist.

On Friday's episode of Lorraine, Rishi star Bhasker Patel and Jai star Chris Bisson appeared on the sofa to discuss the shocking storyline, where Bhasker, 67, revealed that producers decided to kill his character off.
During the ITV chat show, guest host Christine Lampard revealed that they had an exclusive first look of Friday's episode, where Jai discovers Rishi.
In the heartbreaking spoiler clip, it sees Jai show up at Rishi's house as he attempts to make peace, unaware that his dad is dead.
Jai says: "I come in peace! I had a nice wander up here, it's a lovely day" as he lets himself in, picking up letters behind the door, not aware Rishi's lifeless body is ahead of him.
Things soon take a heartbreaking turn when a shocked Jai spots his dad's body by the stairs as he says: "Dad", dropping the letters, before adding: "Dad!"
Talking about the clip, Christine, 44, said: "That's really sad!"

While Chris, 48, added: "It's really sad! Those episodes, actually, poor Bhasker, he had to play dead for two days while we filmed those scenes. It was so funny: 'Got to go again, we saw Bhasker move!'"
The two then spoke about how much they'll miss each other, with Bhasker sweetly saying of Chris: "He's the cheeky one while filming, always wanted to make me laugh. He felt Rishi should be a jovial dad. Even in serious scenes and storylines, I would see the glint and go: 'Please, no, don't do it!' I will miss that."
While Chris added: "I will miss Bhasker, he's always smiling, he's a cheery cast member and he's loved by everyone!"
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
