Ellie Goulding is being 'supported' by her multi-millionaire pal Zac Goldsmith amid 'marriage crisis', according to reports.

The singer and her art dealer husband Caspar Jopling, who share a two year old son, are reportedly taking a break from their marriage amid "struggles".

The couple married at York Minster in 2019, with the event attended by Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, and Ellie and Caspar went on to welcome their first child together, son Arthur, two years later.

Since news of their 'marriage crisis' broke, Ellie has been spotted out and about with none other than former environment minister, Zac Goldsmith, 48, who resigned from his role on Friday.

In pictures obtained by The Sun, the pair were seen walking together, with Ellie looking stylish in a khaki jumpsuit, as she laughed at something Zac was saying, whilst looking down at her phone.

Zac was suited and booted, and he also held his phone as he talked to Ellie, showing the friendship between the unlikely pair, as it's believed that Zac is 'supporting' Ellie, amid her marriage issues.

A source told The Sun on Sunday: “Zac’s pals say he is supportive of Ellie and will be a willing listener and shoulder to lean on.

“Their friendship is not a secret as they have been pictured together over the last year.

“Ellie is very cultured and moves in the same circles as Zac.”

Ellie met her 31-year-old art-dealer husband back in 2016 at a dinner party thrown in her honour following her Jingle Bell Ball performance at Christmas 2016 and started dating the following year.

After marrying at a star-studded ceremony at York Minster on August 31, 2019, Ellie and Casper announced in early 2021 that they were expecting their first baby together - but only once she'd hit the 30-week mark.

Speaking to Vogue about her "surprise" pregnancy, Ellie said: "I was crazy because it was our one-year anniversary. That was not the plan. The thought of getting pregnant didn’t seem like it could be a reality."

Arthur was born on on April 29, 2021, and the youngster remains the couple's top priority, regardless of their own romantic status.

Ellie was recently seen attending the glitzy annual Serpentine Summer Party, where she rocked a bold leather dress.

She wore just one bold ring on her middle finger, and wasn't wearing her engagement or wedding ring.

Ellie spent the night mingling with stars of the Netflix show Bridgerton as well as top supermodels including Jourdan Dunn and actor Orlando Bloom.
