Eamonn Holmes has been seen with his partner at a Spanish port, gearing up for a romantic Mediterranean cruise. The 64-year-old GB News presenter was spotted at Barcelona port on a mobility scooter, accompanied by his girlfriend Katie Alexander, who is 42.

Eamonn has planned the getaway with Katie to enjoy some relaxation and sunshine on a late summer holiday. Katie, looking chic in a striped jumper, khaki chinos, and towering perspex heels, walked through the arrivals area, brushing her blonde hair from her face.

The couple paused to exchange words as Katie pointed something out to Eamonn before continuing their journey through the airport. The lavish holiday has reportedly left Eamonn's former wife Ruth Langsford and her circle "gobsmacked".

His relationship with Katie came to light in May after he moved out of the family home when messages to another woman were discovered. At that time, Eamonn had taken up residence in a separate property, with Katie frequently visiting him post his split from Ruth, ending their 14-year marriage.

A source speaking to The Sun said: "The cruise is just the latest proof of their closeness. Katie has been telling pals she and Eamonn are going to be for keeps - and now everyone is starting to believe her," reports the Mirror. They added: "Eamonn's zest for her - the latest being this all-expenses-paid trip - has wowed Ruth and pals. He has found a new lease of life for sure. Everyone is amazed."

The couple have been making the most of their time together, having recently enjoyed a getaway to Belfast. Speculation about their relationship intensified when Ruth was seen with a ring on her wedding finger, fuelling engagement rumours.

The beginnings of Eamonn and Katie's connection trace back to 2015, following an exchange that started with her response to his social media post. In May, the end of another chapter was publicly acknowledged with a statement regarding Ruth and Eamonn's marriage. It read: "Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing."

Prior to the announcement, the absence of the pair from each other's public lives and social media had already raised eyebrows among fans. A source speaking to The Sun revealed: "They are determined to stay friends and keep things amicable." The same source cited demanding work commitments as one of the reasons behind their separation.
