Looking back at Bruce Springsteen's two epic shows at Sheffield United's Bramall Lane
There's been a lot of gaffers at Bramall Lane down the years but today we are taking a look back to when the Boss himself Bruce Springsteen absolutely rocked Sheffield United’s ground.
The American icon brought Bruce Springsteen’s Tunnel of Love Express, featuring The E-Street Band, to the home of the Blades back in 1988. The Boss played two epic dates at Bramall Lane on July 9 and July 10.
Those who came on the opening night got a little more bang for their buck with the star performing four more songs. Although Springsteen, famed for his long gigs, is unlikely to have disappointed either of the crowds with over 30 songs being played on each night.
Fans won’t be too surprised to know that on both evenings Springsteen and his band did two encores.
Tickets for the packed shows cost £17.50 which doesn’t sound too bad to us with crowds coming from across Yorkshire.
