A three-part documentary about 90s boyband Boyzone is set to hit screens

The legacy, triumphs and tragedies of Boyzone are explored in a new Sky documentary series.

Boyzone: No Matter What delves into the height of the boyband's fame, catching up with Irish musicians Keith Duffy, Mikey Graham, Ronan Keating, and Shane Lynch.

The documentary narrates the journey of the hugely successful boyband featuring exclusive interviews, behind-the-scenes footage and discusses the sudden death of Stephen Gately.

A synopsis for the documentary said: "They were one of the most successful and iconic boybands of all time but behind-the-scenes, conflict and rivalry, betrayal and tragedy led to their falling apart."

"Now, thirty years on, all four remaining members - Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy, Shane Lynch and Michael 'Mikey' Graham, as well as their estranged manager, Louis Walsh reveal the truth of what really happened, the extraordinary highs of their meteoric rise to fame, and the huge costs that being in a boyband had on each of them."

Manager and notorious X Factor judge Walsh will be offering his insights on Boyzone's success and their intense media scrutiny.

When does Boyzone: No Matter What air?

The three-part documentary series will air on Sunday, February 2, promising an emotional trip down memory lane for any fans of the 90s band or pop music, reports the Mirror.

However, in 2009, Gately was tragically found dead at his Mallorca home due to an undiagnosed heart condition. The remaining band members received an outpouring of tributes and decided to bring forward the release of their fourth studio album, Brother, to March 2010, dedicating it to Gately's memory.

Where can you watch Boyzone: No Matter What?

The upcoming documentary promises to shed light on what the band has been up to since their peak and the true reasons behind their initial split in 1999.

Fans can watch the seires on Sky Documentaries and NOW TV when it airs on Sunday, February 2.
