Aston Villa West Ham United Live Premier League: Football ...
VILLA NOT HITTING THEIR HEIGHTS AHEAD OF BIG WEEK
Some boos rang around Villa Park upon the full-time whistle this evening, and you have to say, Emery's side were far from their free-flowing best.
They dominated the early stages, and earned a well-worked opener through Ramsey, but they never build on that momentum in a meaningful way.
Granted, they were forced to re-shuffle following Mings' withdrawal, and never really looked comfortable with Digne acting as the left centre half.
But West Ham were the ones looking more likely to snatch a winner in a really poor second half from the hosts, which does not bode well ahead of a crucial week in the UEFA Champions League.
Villa host Celtic, needing a victory as well as one of the top-eight sides to slip up in order to clinch an automatic spot in the last 16.
