KSI has expressed his amusement shortly Andrew Tate’s arrest, which followed a mocking video response to climate campaigner Greta Thunberg.

Earlier this week (Wednesday 28 December), 19-year-old Thunberg was widely praised for wittily shutting down Tate on Twitter, who’d tried to engage her in a debate about his cars.

In an attempt to hit back at Thunberg, the controversial online figure posted a video of himself later that day in which he smoked a cigar, as a pizza box rested on a table in front of him.

Many have shared their reactions to the shocking events of the past few days. Recording artist and online influencer KSI is among those who’ve used social media to weigh in on the story.

“Andrew Tate snitched on himself after getting ratio’d by Greta Thunberg,” he tweeted on Thursday (29 December), accompanied by two laughing emojis.

Ramona Bolla, a spokesperson from Romania's anti-organized crime agency, DIICOT, said prosecutors have asked a judge at the Bucharest tribunal to extend the arrest warrant to 30 days. She said a decision is expected later Friday.

DIICOT said in a statement late Thursday that the four suspects in the case, which include two British citizens and two Romanians, were arrested on charges of being part of an organized crime group, human trafficking and rape.

A National Crime Agency spokesperson said: “We are aware of action undertaken by Romanian authorities to arrest four people on allegations of human trafficking.

“The National Crime Agency works with partners around the world to tackle serious and organised crime threats, and we are at all times ready to assist partner investigations.”

Far-right Fox News host Tucker Carlson is under fire for defending Andrew Tate even while Romanian police were investigating him for alleged human trafficking.

In an interview with the misogynist social media influencer in August of this year, Mr Carlson incredulously asked his audience: "They're telling us he's a criminal. Okay: has he been charged? Who are the victims?"

Those questions were answered on Friday when police in Romania arrested Mr Tate and his brother on suspicion of human trafficking and rape, accusing them and two other people of forming "an organised crime group" to make money from coerced pornography.

Following Andrew Tate’s arrest, Julia Hartley-Brewer is being mocked after recently stating that she would choose Tate’s life over that of Greta Thunberg.

The British radio presenter and journalist waded into the online feud between Tate and Thunberg that began this wek.

Tate – a 36-year-old former kickboxer and online personality notorious for his misogynistic views – recently engaged Thunberg, 19, in a Twitter feud.

The spat resulted in a brutal clapback from Thunberg, which has since been hailed as the best Twitter moment of 2022.

Tate responded to her response with a video of himself smoking a cigar and wearing a red dressing gown. In the clip – which was branded by Twitter users as “pure cringe” – he claims that the climate activist was referring to herself in her retort to him.

Emory Andrew Tate is a social media influencer and former kickboxer.

Tate was born in the US but came to live in Britain when he was four years old.

He is also the founder of Hustler’s University, an online “academy” where members pay a monthly membership fee in exchange for advice on how to make a passive income from several online industries.

Prior to being banned, Tate had a huge Instagram following of 4.6 million.

His popularity soared after videos of him began circulating on TikTok. At the time of writing, the hashtag #AndrewTate has accumulated 12.7 billion views.

Tate has been rumoured to be in a relationship with Naghel Georgiana Manuela. He shared a photograph of himself and Naghel aboard a private plane to his Instagram in October 2021.

A Romanian pizza company that featured in Andrew Tate 's viral response video to Greta Thunberg has been inundated with positive reviews online following his arrest.

The fast food chain, Jerry's Pizza, is rated 4.3 stars on Google and is said to be “worth doing time for”, plus it tastes “so good you'll dox yourself to get a slice”.

Reports suggested local authorities could have used Tate's video, featuring pizza boxes from the prominent Romanian takeaway, as proof he was in the country. Within 24 hours of posting the video to social media, kickboxing star Tate, 36, was arrested by Romanian police.

Romania’s Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism said in a release on Thursday that two unnamed British citizens, as well as two Romanians, were detained for 24 hours for questioning as part of an investigation into women allegedly being lured into marriages, abused, then coerced into performing in exploitative online pornography videos.

A rights group called GRETA (Group of Experts on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings) had called attention to the crime in Romania last year, even as far-right influencer Andrew Tate was detained by authorities in the country on Thursday.

In a press release in June 2021, GRETA had urged Romania to ensure that human trafficking offences lead to effective and dissuasive sanctions and that victims of trafficking have access to compensation.

The report also noted that Romania remains predominantly a country of origin of victims of trafficking in human beings.

The year-old press release by the group has resurfaced after Mr Tate locked horns with climate activist Greta Thunberg on Twitter.
