The competition is heating up on BBC cookery show Celebrity MasterChef. Tuesday, August 22 sees the next batch of celebrities take to the famous kitchen to prove they have what it takes.

Last week, Welsh singer Wynne Evans wowed judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace with his dishes and subsequently earned a place in the next stage of the competition. You can read our interview with Wynne here.

This week, actors Amy Walsh and Michael Praed, rapper and philanthropist Apl.de.Ap, dancer Dianne Buswell and reality star Luca Bish are competing against each other. Who do you think will come out on top? Let us know in the comments.

But who are actress Amy Walsh’s famous sisters, what soap opera did her fiancé star in and what other TV roles has she had? Here’s everything you need to know.

Both of Amy’s sisters are also in the entertainment industry. Her big sister is Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh and her oldest sister, Sally, also starred in ITV soap opera Emmerdale.

Sally appeared as Marlon Dingle’s girlfriend Lyn Hutchinson from 1997 to 2000. She worked in film and television from the age of eight and joined Emmerdale as outspoken schoolgirl Lyn when she was 18.

Kimberley became a member of Girls Aloud after auditioning for Popstars: The Rivals in 2002. The group went on to become one of Britain’s biggest-ever bands with 20 consecutive top ten singles before splitting in 2013.

Since 2020, Amy has been romantically involved with former EastEnders star Toby-Alexander Smith, who played the evil Gray Atkins between 2019 and 2022. The couple’s daughter, Bonnie, was born in December 2021 and they announced their engagement in August last year.

Perhaps Amy’s most well known role is that of Tracy Metcalfe on ITV soap opera Emmerdale. She first joined the show in 2014 and since then has been involved in several major storylines.

Amy started off her career as a child actor and appeared as Emily in the short film Past Memoirs in 1995. In 2011 she joined the cast of Channel 4 Hollyoaks spin off, Hollyoaks Later, as Jennifique McQueen.
