Steven Bartlett divides Dragons' Den fans with his snazzy trousers

Many fans were happy that Dragons' Den returned to our screens tonight (January 5) calling it a 'great' start to the series. However some viewers were distracted by the BBC show as Plymouth's Steven Bartlett rocked a stylish pair of trousers.

Steven joined Dragons' Den in 2021, making him the youngest ever investor on the show, which sees entrepreneurs pitch for investment in the Den from the 'Dragons' - five venture capitalists willing to invest their own money in exchange for equity.

During the show, the 30 year-old asked his followers on social media whether they liked his "zebra/newspaper pants". People were quick to reply, with some saying that he "pulled them off".

The savvy businessman also secured an investment in the skin care brand - Self-Care for the MANDEM.

After a follower mentioned his trousers, former Plymstock School student Steven asked: "What are we saying about my Zebra/Newspaper pants? Hate them? Like them?"

It led to a lot of responses, including from @asia_manzoor, who said: "Only you could pull those off! Imagine @dragonjones in those #DragonsDen."

Someone else added: "Not my style but you surprisingly pull them off @SteveBartlettSC #Dragonsden."

Not everyone agreed though, with one viewer replying that they were 'horrific".

Talking about the show, fans expressed they were happy with the first episode of series 20, with one person saying it was "great".
