FA Cup third round: How to watch live matches including Arsenal v ...

The iconic third round gets underway on Thursday 9 January, with every Championship and Premier League club across the UK joining the competition. The magic of the FA Cup is live on BBC TV, radio and online throughout the weekend.

The BBC is bringing audiences together to enjoy some of the biggest clashes of the round, including current holders Manchester United, who face record 14 times winners Arsenal, and North West derby, Manchester City v Salford City.

Live audio commentary of selected fixtures is available on BBC Radio 5 Live and 5 Sports Extra, and fans can keep up to date with the biggest news stories and all the scores on the BBC Sport website and app, as well as highlights of every match. Comprehensive coverage of all this weekend’s matches is also available on BBC local radio and BBC Sounds.

Kicking off the third round, Sheffield United face Cardiff City, live on BBC One Wales and iPlayer on Thursday 9 January. Coverage is presented by Catrin Heledd and starts at 6.45pm. On the same evening, Everton take on Peterborough United, with live coverage on BBC iPlayer from 7.35pm.

On Saturday 11 January, League Two Salford City aim to cause upset against neighbours and reigning Premier League champions Manchester City. Coverage is live on BBC One from 5:30pm and presented by Mark Chapman. From 5.35pm on BBC iPlayer, fellow Yorkshire sides Leeds United and Harrogate Town meet.

Final Score, presented by Jason Mohammad, has updates and reports from all of Saturday’s ties from 2.30pm on iPlayer and 4pm on BBC One.

On Sunday 12 January, Gary Lineker introduces live coverage on BBC One as the two most successful sides in FA Cup history – Arsenal and Manchester United – battle it out for a place in the fourth round. Coverage starts from 2:30pm, and the fourth round draw will follow the conclusion of the match. Meanwhile, Newcastle take on third round debutants Bromley, with live coverage on BBC iPlayer from 2.50pm.

The same afternoon, live on BBC Two Wales and iPlayer, Premier League strugglers Southampton host Championship side Swansea City. Coverage starts at 4.15pm and is presented by Catrin Heledd.
