A former Emmerdale star has teased her return to the soap opera following a shocking twist in the ongoing Tom King abuse storyline.

For the past few months, viewers have watched as Tom, played by James Chase, has subjected his wife Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) to abuse and gaslighting. Since ending the marriage and realising his true nature, Belle has reported Tom to the police, however, he has retaliated by installing cameras in her home and software on her laptop to monitor her every move.

As if that wasn't bad enough, the character stooped to a new low when he seemingly murdered Belle's dog Piper, leaving her distraught. In a further twist, recent episodes revealed that Tom is now dating Amelia (Daisy Campbell), leaving Belle horrified and fearful for the young girl's safety, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Knowing Tom's true nature, Belle attempted to warn Amelia, only for her concerns to be twisted by Tom to make her appear jealous and paranoid. The storyline has prompted former Emmerdale star, Kelli Hollis, who played Ali Spencer from 2011 to 2015, to speak out on social media.

In a new video, Hollis revealed that she is "not happy" about Tom and Amelia's relationship. Fans will recall that Hollis' character, Ali, was Amelia's mother and was killed off-screen in 2018 following a car accident.

Kelli Hollis, known for her portrayal of Ali Spencer in Emmerdale, has taken to TikTok to express her dismay at her on-screen daughter Amelia's blossoming relationship with Tom. Reacting to a news article, Hollis exclaimed: "Amelia! Amelia! What is going on at Emmerdale?"

She then added: "Yes, it's me your mother, from heaven. What are you doing Emmerdale?! I knew you'd do this! I knew you were going to put him with my Amelia."

In her TikTok video, Hollis expressed disbelief, questioning the Emmerdale writers: "What are you trying to do to me?! Poor Amelia. So she's lost me her mum, her aunty, god knows where her brother is, her dad's in jail, and now they've got this lunatic?"

The actress then hinted at a possible comeback to intervene in the storyline, stating: "Come on Emmerdale you can't do this to me. I can't keep sitting and watching and not be able to do anything anything about it!"

Hollis concluded her video with a playful warning to her on-screen daughter, stating: "So I guess I'm going to have to tell her from the grave. Amelia, stay away from him! Don't make me come back and haunt you." Talking about Amelia and Tom's romance, Kelli then explained: "I called this, about three weeks ago. I knew it. Not happy Emmerdale, nope!"
