Emmerdale fans slam Lydia Dingle for making 'obvious' error as ...

Emmerdale fans have expressed their irritation with Lydia Dingle, played by Karen Blick, accusing her of continuously overlooking the expressions of distress from abused Belle Dingle, depicted by Eden Taylor-Draper.

On Wednesday's (September 4) visit to the village, distressed Belle observed as her abusive ex-husband Tom King (James Chase) got cosy with Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell) who remains ignorant about his domestic abuse.

Despite enduring months of physical and mental torment at the hands of the vile vet Tom, Belle's predicament has been continually overlooked. Things have escalated for the wedding planner when she left their marriage.

Tom pursued her covertly, deceived her about her dog's status, and threatened that she'd never escape him. Taking shelter on the church steps, Belle witnessed her ex cosying up to Amelia.

Lydia then encountered Belle and invited her home for a soothing cup of tea and some conversation. However, during the discussion, Lydia seemed oblivious to Belle's desperation amid continuous turmoil caused by Tom.

Initially, Lydia offered solace and suggested that Belle move into the family house instead of staying alone in her cottage. Giving advice about separating from a long-term partner, Lydia felt rebuffed when a desolate Belle expressed her wish that Tom was dead, reports the Express.

Lydia, trying to encourage her to communicate her feelings replied, "You don't mean that, not really", but, alas, their conversation soon took a wrong turn.

Lydia suggested Belle move in with her to ensure she is "well" and "taking her meds", hinting that Belle's actions were due to mental health issues rather than abuse. But despite Belles insistence that she was just fine, Lydia shrugged off her remarks.

Emmerdale fans are now incensed, saying Belle is being mistreated and dismissed rudely by Lydia. An irate viewer wrote on X: "I used to like Lydia but I can't stand her now, seriously, she needs to clear off.."

One fan aired their grievances stating: "Lydia once again failing Belle spectacularly #Emmerdale".

Another disgruntled viewer chimed in saying: "Lydia, Belle talking about feelings and what's going on, none of you people isn't listening to you #Emmerdale."

An additional viewer added: "Stop patronising her Lydia #Emmerdale". A fifth discontented viewer commented: "I really wish Belle could have someone decent in her life to confide in. Lydia is as useful as a catflap in a submarine".
