16-Year Old Borussia Dortmund Wonderkid Youssoufa Moukoko Has A Whopping £9 Million Nike Contract

Youssoufa Moukoko is now 16 and eligible to make his Borussia Dortmund debut.

Moukoko turned 16 on Friday and because of a rule-change that was forced because of his sensational showings, he is eligible to play for Dortmund in their trip to Hertha Berlin at 19:30 this evening.

Already there is some serious hype behind the youngster, who has dominated the youth ranks for the German side.

Moukoko is tipped to achieve great things in the future, having signed a mega 10-year Nike deal worth £9 million in 2019, as per BILD.

The contract, one of the most lucrative for a young athlete, is said to have included a £1 million signing on fee and will see him collect the full amount if several clauses are met.

Even at such a young age, it's reported he earns roughly £6,000 a week as a youth player at Dortmund and will likely be in line for a pay rise if he continues his meteoric rise.

Since joining from St Pauli in 2016, he's scored a ridiculous 141 goals in 88 appearances across Under 17 and Under 19 levels.

He netted 33 goals in 21 matches in the 2017/18 season for the Under 15's BVB side and then, aged just 12, made the step up to the Bundesliga outfit's Under 17 team, where he continued to go goal-crazy by notching a record-setting 50 goals in 28 games.

This season he's already scored an incredible 13 times in just four games in all competitions, bagging at least a hat-trick in the three appearances he's made in the U19 Bundesliga West.

He's consistently played against older players from being a 12-year old and coming up against Under 17s sides and Dortmund youth coach Lars Ricken believes he's more than equipped for the step up to men's football.

"There's no youth player who has had as many minutes of play and training as he has in recent years," he said.

"This is an indicator that he is able to cope with the stresses of professional football."
