2024 Masters leaderboard: Live coverage, Tiger Woods score, golf ...

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- The 2024 Masters has arrived. Well, almost. Inclement weather has delayed the proceedings Thursday morning to 10:30 a.m. ET at Augusta National Golf Club, pushing tee times into the afternoon and potentially part of Round 1 into a second day. Regardless of when the tournament begins, the other 88 men in the field will be chasing Scottie Scheffler.

The short 4-1 favorite is playing (by far) the best golf in the world looking for his second green jacket in the last three years. Scheffler is playing so well right now -- he's lost to just one golfer in the last three tournaments -- that the consensus opinion is that only a handful of golfers have a chance to match him around Augusta National this week.

Those who could push Scheffler include Rory McIlroy and Xander Schauffele (who will both play with Scheffler in the first two rounds) as well as Jordan Spieth (looking for a fourth major and second green jacket), Brooks Koepka (seeking a sixth major) and Jon Rahm (attempting to go back to back for the first time since Tiger Woods in 2001-02). Of course, three-time Masters winner Phil Mickelson is attempting to better his runner-up finish a year ago, and five-time green jacket holder Tiger Woods attempting to not just continue his made cuts streak but surprise by sneaking into contention.
